Bi-Weekly Update: 16th February 2019 - 28th February 2019

Dear Jura Community Members：

Thank you very much for your continued support! Over the last two weeks, we have made tremendous progress across all key aspects of our project. Notably, we have been following our technical roadmap by keep delivering the core features of the JURA network as initially proposed in the whitepaper.

1. Tech Development

1.1 JuraJ

Developed a separate “leveldb” and “rocksdb” version of FUSUS, and built a test environment that successfully conducted a stress test of the database module.

1.2 Smart Contract

Built a Java version of the WASM runtime environment that can be compiled from a language such as C++ to WASM, and run in a stand-alone node.

1.3 R&D

Proposed two specific technical solutions for sharding. The technical details such as incentive mechanisms and creation transaction are clear.

2. Business & Marketing Activities

2.1 Jura holds a technical exchange meeting

Jura successfully held another technical exchange meeting for aspiring blockchain developers, and we’re very proud to say that they audience was highly enthusiastic. The event included presentations by Jura’s founder Iris Yang, Jura R&D team leader Cameron Wang, Seter Kwok and Dream Wu. The number of participants exceeded expectations, and the people who communicated with the Jura team after the meeting were have become a vital part of Jura’s Chinese community.

2.2 Jura Chinese technical community responded enthusiastically

The Jura Chinese community is performing great and the exchanges within the group are very engaging. “Invite friends to get JREX” received a warm response. “The answer to the JREX” also received the high expected response. The event expanded Jura’s visibility in the technical community, and we plan to invite more people who’re interested in Jura to participate in the development of Jura’s project.

2.3 Jura and Certik discuss possible future cooperation

Jura’s marketing director Raheel Ahmad and Certik’s head of business development, Yuan Nasir, discussed different ways of working together. They reached a consensus on the security of the smart contract closing phase and the importance of the security of the blockchain, and further discussed Jura’s position in the mainstream market of blockchain. Their communication was very successful and both are looking forward to further cooperation.

2.4 Jura partners up with Byte2100 to enhance blockchain education

Byte2100 is a famous blockchain media company based in China. The Jura team has reached a partnership with Byte2100 to hold frequent blockchain education seminars for its target audience. This collaboration reiterates Jura’s technical strength and affirms its position in the Chinese technical community.
