Bi-Weekly Update: 18th December 2018–31st December 2018

Dear Jura Community Members：

Thank you very much for your continued support! Over the last two weeks, we have made tremendous progress across all key aspects of our project. Notably, we have been following our technical roadmap by keeping delivering the core features of the JURA network as initially proposed in the whitepaper.

We’ve entered 2019 with bigger goals and ambitions. We aim to increase the pace of our product development along with business initiatives. The past year was very a productive one for Jura and, we sign off with the last update from 2018.

1. Technology Development Progress

1.1. FUSUS

We’ve revamped our FUSUS framework design in order to make it more compatible with our new voting system.

1.2. Voting System

Eliminated a known bug involving internet blocking when voting fails to reach a consensus,
Implemented a new robust API, eliminating manually managed threads.

1.3. Jura Wallet

We’ve implemented the interface between the Jura Wallet and the rest of the Jura system. Our system now supports user login, balance inquiries, and transaction history retrieval.

1.4. System Development

In preparation for our upcoming testate launch, we’ve configured the server environment. Testnet deployment is currently underway.

1.5. Encryption

Added a DKG framework to the current Jura system for upgraded security and data protection.

2. Business, Events & Marketing

2.1. China Entrepreneurs Summit 2018

On December 2018, CEO Iris Yang represented Jura at the China Entrepreneurs Summit in Nanjing on the invitation from the Nanjing Government itself. During this meeting, Iris held in-depth conversations with senior entrepreneurs in various industries from finance to tech, and Jura came on top as the leader in the upcoming blockchain technology.

2.2. Blockchain: Turing Class at Peking University

On December 26, CEO Iris Yang lectured students in Peking University’s Turing Class on the future of blockchain. The Turing Class is a highly selective and experimental class at Peking which aims to cultivate computer science talents and while “challenging the limits of computer science and advance the frontiers of intelligent science” (Enrollment is capped at 30 students each year). Iris had intimate discussions with students attending the course about Jura’s technological advantage and its implementation in various business scenarios.

2.3. #juranewyear

We asked Jura community members to wish everyone in the Jura community a “Happy New Year” in their native language and tell us one thing that they like about Jura. We got videos from more than 30 different countries and in 20 different languages. Overall, our #juranewyear community event was a huge success.

2.3. Jura SuperRep Program 2019

In the past two weeks, we finalized the structure and logistics of our new Jura SuperRep program set to roll out in the first week of January 2019. The SuperReps will moderate Jura’s online communities with the aim of increasing engagement, starting with Telegram. Jura SuperReps will receive Jura-Tokens as compensation, will get intimate access to the core team, get announcements ahead of time and a chance to represent Jura at a local event. We are looking forward to the applications and good luck to the potential applicants.

2.4. Jura Media — YouTube Channel Launched

We launched our YouTube channel with the video of highlights from the LPS 2018 event that Jura sponsored in December. All the highlights and fan-made videos will also be posted on our YouTube Channel in the future.
